This is the trip from Montreal to Burlington in the state of Vermont. If you start early then the border crossing might take from 30 mins to a couple of hours.
The North beach is around 40 miles from Burlington. The drive passes through small townships, the univesities. Note that there is also a camp ground before the narrow underpass to the beach.
I had taken a Spicy chicken burger in addition to our cold drinks and fried. You need to be careful with keeping the food out in the open for long as there are gulls flying over your head or just sitting on the sandy beach.
The view is spectacular with a wide landscape of the lake and small mountains on the east . We laid out the sheet on the beach and sat down to enjoy the gentle breeze and the sound of the water breaking into the shore.
